History of Rocket League

Rocket League is the successor of Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars by Psyonix. Rocket League was officially announced in February 2014. The launch got delayed, and it was finally released on July 7, 2015, for the PlayStation 4 and Windows with no free elements. Psyonix moved Rocket League to a free-to-play model on all platforms on September 23, 2020.

Game details – Rocket League

  • Rocket League’s gameplay is similar to its predecessor, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. In this game, a player takes control of a rocket-powered car, tries to hit a ball, and manages to send the ball to the opponent’s goal area to score goals for the team.
  • The game concept is similar to soccer, with a few elements related to a demolition derby. Cars can jump to hit the ball in mid-air. Players also can collect speed boosts from the marked areas in the field. These speed boosts can assist the players to cover distances quickly, use the momentum to hit the ball, or even ram into another player’s car to destroy it.
  • After destroying the opponent’s car, it respawns on their side of the field. A player can also use the speed boosts to fly through the air, propel the vehicle forward, and hit the ball mid-air. It also allows the player to take control of the ball and direct it to favorite places.
  • Players also can perform quick dodges by short jumps and spin in an immediate direction to nudge the ball or gain a positioning advantage.
  • Primarily, matches are 5 minutes long. If the scores are level, sudden death occurs until one team gets a goal. Games can be played from 1 versus 1 to 4 versus 4.
  • There are multiple modes in Rocket LeagueThere are multiple modes in Rocket League: Competitive online mode offers players to play and raise their rank within game seasons.
