This fighting game was developed and published by Capcom. A particular Arcade version for Japan will be published by Taito, which is yet to announce the release date. The game is being developed in RE Engine.

a. Game modes
Street Fighter 6 features three comprehensive single-player and multiplayer game modes.
- Fighting Ground
- World Tour
- Battle Hub
The fighting ground consists of local and online versus battles, training, and arcade modes. These games’ features are similar to this series’ previous titles. In this game mode, two players choose a playable character and use many attacks and unique skills to knock out the opponent in a 2D fighting gameplay.
World Tour is a single-player story mode where the player with the customizable avatar can explore the 3D environments with action-adventure gameplay.
The Battle Hub works as an online lobby of up to 100, where you can interact and challenge other players, organize a competition, or spectate a tournament. There is a massive chance that you will kill your time through friendly fights with someone in the Battle Hub.

c. Gameplay
The main fighting gameplay of Street Fighter 6 will revolve around the Drive Gauge system designed to encourage the players’ creativity. This gauge can be used in five different moves, those are:
- Drive Impact
- Drive Perry
- Drive Rush
- Drive reversal
- An Overdrive Art
These moves can be prioritized according to the player’s choice. The drive gauge has six bars, and each drive action costs one bar. Running out of the meters makes you vulnerable until restored. Each character has three super combos.
The game features two control types, Classic and modern. In Classic control, the player will have a six-button-layout like the previous titles. In the current control, moves are merged in a single button with directional input.
d. In-game commentary
This is the first time; a Street Fighter will get real-life commentary in the fighting scenes. Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez and Tasty Steve have recorded their voice for the commentary with easy-to-understand explanations.
This feature will support subtitles in over 13 languages. Capcom has yet to reveal more information in the future.
